[Opinions] Poppy and Summer
I have already asked for opinions on Summer, but what do you think of Poppy? My mum always liked it! Are Summer and Poppy too much for a sibset? I think it would be better to use Summer or Poppy as a mn, so which do you like best?Any favourite combos?**miss_smiley**

when I think of poppy I think of my state flower the Californian Poppy although I'm sure that's not what many people think of and either way it's a nice name. If you had to pick one for a first name I would pick Summer because I would find it hard to take someone named Poppy seriously as an adult

I like Summer but I've never been a big fan of Poppy, to me it doeesn't sound like a flower it sounds like something you'd call your father or grandfather.Over all I think the names are ok together but I'd change Poppy to another flower name such as Holly or Lilly or Daisy. ;)Mum to Hayley Anne

I don't much care for either name. They both sound too happy and bouncy to me. I think someone named Poppy would have a hard time being taken seriously. Summer is definitely usable, but I don't know about Poppy. They'd both probably be fine as mns.

Like Summer, dislike PoppySummer is a nice nature name imo, that doesn't come across as too hippy-dippy sounding. Poppy is a really silly childish sounding name imo. It would be ok on a child, but I really couldn't take it too seriously on an adult. Plus it reminds me of old men, and sounds too close to poopy.

Poppy is very cute. However, I personally think it's a little bit "too" cute (not tacky or cheesy, though), meaning that it doesn't strike me as a particularly stunning and an elegant name, as sweet as it is. It would be very nice on someone else, but I personally wouldn't care for it all that much.Summer is NMS. They make an OK sibset, though.

I think Poppy is adorable. I don't care for Summer because it is too popular. I would use Poppy as a first name.

I don't particularly like Summer (or any season name actually). Poppy is cute as a NN, but it's hard to take it seriously. Maybe it's because I was in a performance of the Wizard of Oz, so I have poppy fields in my mind (and at one point, poppies on my head). For a sibset, I think both names are cutesy, so they sort of go, but I wouldn't use them. I would say MNs if you're set on them.

Poppy is cute but I find Summer somewhat overused.I say they are best as mn.
