Fine in Russia. Outside Russia, Alexander and its variants have been so popular for so long that they're all due for a rest.

I like it; Aleksandr is very handsome (but, I’d rather choose Alexander under my own cultural identity).

I like it but I’d probably add an e and spell it Aleksander.
