Adam and Aaliyah had a sudden falling out before the wedding. Aaliyah felt the whole thing was moving to slowly, and Adam, still in a less than ok mental state after Lenny's death, was afraid to commit. No animosity followed the break up, but the two stopped communications for a while. Adam and a mathematician he worked with had a little fling, that turned into a pregnancy deal, which turned into a relationship and a second kid, which turned into an engagement with a third kid. He and Kelsie are very happy with one daughter and two sons running around, although Taylor is less than pleased about the children out of wedlock. Mason and the secretary of his employer's company, Nisha, hit it off and are dating. Lidia and Nate got married and are proud parents of girl-boy twins Deborah and Phillip (or Debbie and Phil). Walker proposed to Taylor, who of course accepted, and now they are planning to elope.
Kai and Kamden make do. Kamden has his permit now, and so does Kolton. Annabel and he moved to a different town, but soon enough the boys will be able to drive themselves. Kai is very sorry for the pettiness of he and Annabel's break-up, and the rough situation that's put the boys through.
Karter's friend-to-lover-back-to-friend Laia passed away last year from breast cancer. Shouji was devastated, and so were the kids. Karter and Shouji have become close friends over this, and Jessie has been really supportive. Lucian, the youngest Kubo kid, and Christin have formed a special bond, and Christin finally feels like she has sibling figures. Riley and Lucian are awesome big brothers, and Elinor is the best big sister. Even through the tremendous age difference, the four have bonded. Christin has unwittingly helped the Kubos cope, and they're very grateful for that. Christin wears her "honorary Kubo" title proudly, saying she's "Christin Tennyson Gibbs Kubo." Karter is preparing to ask her the adoption question, knowing he and Jessie will likely stay together. He really hopes Christin will accept.
