[Facts] Arabic name Jul?
Does anyone know where Jul comes from as an arabic name/what original name it's derived from? According to nordicnames.de it means "willpower', 'determination".https://www.nordicnames.de/wiki/Jul_2

It could be a borrowing from Persian Gul or Turkish Gül, in this case it would mean "Rose" and would be used as a feminine name, but the native Arabic word for rose is Warda (also used as a given name).

Thank you! I can see how it could be derived from Gul but I don't think that's it. The source given on nordicnames is a paper from the Copenhagen University so I would guess that the meaning and origin is correct but I can’t find any more infos.

I found the paper online, but it doesn't give any more information than nordicnames does.
