These are some of my favourite names! I like a lot of those nicknames--they make the names much more approachable.
In particular, I love Ed, Jim (the only way I'd ever use James), Fred, Kathy (LOVE this!), Livvy (but spelled Livvie), Penny, Becky, and Sukie (as Sukey).
Nicknames I don't like are the cutesy ones that have popped up again as of late. I don't like Will or Jamey (though I like Jay). I also don't like Andy, Bella (the sound a frog makes), or Danny (SO whiney in comparison to Dan!).
