I met an Elvira (pronounced el-vhye-ruh) around my age. She just graduated high school. It never really fit her tbh, it's very old fashioned (idk how popular it is in Spanish speaking countries though, she was Hispanic). Sort of gives me Southern vibes while also reminding me of elves. I could also picture it on a Hispanic grandma. I don't mind old fashioned names but I really don't like the sound of this one for some reason. Maybe the "vira" just reminds me of the word "virus"?
