[Opinions] Gwenda
I have been watching Miss Marple on tv and the episodes are based on the books by Agatha Christie. Two characters each in different episode were called Gwenda. We never find out if Gwenda is the characters given name or short for Gwendoline. WDYT of Gwenda?

Not a fan. Gwenda looks like a mashup of Gwen and Wanda/Brenda.

I love a good -da name ordinarily but I think Gwenna is the superior choice. Or of course Gwendolyn, Gwen, maybe Guinevere if we're stretching etc. Gwenda feels clunky

It's pretty but I prefer Gwendoline / Gwendolyn too.

For some reason it reminds me of a witchy name, like something out of Bewitched or Wicked

You might be thinking of Glenda the Good Witch from Wizard of Oz

I don't enjoy Gw- names; the sound is like swallowing a large mouthful in a hurry. Gwenda seems pedestrian and more dated than Wendy, which to my surprise I very much prefer.

I dislike it. It sounds incomplete and kind of dated. I much prefer Gwendolen or Gwendolyn (not really a fan of Gwendoline).
