The year is 1996. The oldest Morisot-Allaway grandchild, Joy, has just turned eighteen and plans on continuing her education with an undergraduate degree in psychology. She and her boyfriend's relationship will soon be put to the test, when they will be attending colleges in separate states. Jane and Frédéric are still happily living in Nantes, and were excited to announce that they would be having a set of twins. They also opened up their very own bakery together earlier this year. After eight years together, Julia and Hugh decided to file for divorce, as Julia felt that Hugh had been spending all of his time and energy working, and no time with the family. This had been taking a toll on their relationship, and the time they tried to mend the relationship, it was simply too late. Julia met her new boyfriend this year. Finally, the youngest Morisot child, August, has found a partner as well, they just bought an apartment together, and August is planning on proposing to her.
