[Opinions] Emilia
My fiance has expressed the idea that he loves the name Emilia for a girl. I personally am not a fan and know people on this board will sigh that it is too popular. I'm trying to be open to the name. Does anyone want to try and turn it into a more exciting combo? He'll want Emilia Grace which just makes me sad.
Emilia Diana?
Emilia Valerie?
Emilia Justine?
Emilia Carmen?Marie Emilia?

Try to redirect him to Emily. Shorter, neater and tidier. And try to warm up to two mns: that way you can let him have Grace but in a diluted form. Emily Grace Diana would work for me; so would Emily Carmen Grace.

Personally, I think that Emilia is a gorgeous name; where I am, it’s not common at all (people much prefer the Amelia [pronounced differently] spelling, which is also stunning!), and it’s used as an Emily alternative (however, I do prefer the name Emily to Emilia). Despite all of this, you deserve to happy with your daughter’s name (just as he does); do you have any other names that you guys would like, compromising this? What about Irene Emmica (“Ehm-ih-kuh”. This is actually a personal favorite of mine!), considering it honors your mom, and Emmica is an uncommon Em- name? I also came up with Marelia (“Muh-rehl-lee-uh”) and Emerie / Emarie (“Eh-muhr-ree”), which sort of combine Marie and Emilia. Combos for Emilia:
Emilia Roxanne
Emilia Dana
Emilia Seren
Emilia Constance
Emilia Janae
Emilia Hazel
Emilia Anna
Emilia Torryn
Emilia Crystal
Emilia Frances
Emilia Haven
Emilia Susan
Emilia Susanna / Suzanna
