It's a favorite.
When I was pregnant I suggested naming our daughter Edith. My husband said it would be a "statement." I'm not sure what he meant, but I got the impression he thought it would stand out a lot. That was 2005-6. I don't think it'd stand out all that much today. I think if people are naming daughters Hazel and Penelope, there is certainly room for Edith, which is a lot nicer than either of those imo.
