I posted about Sigrid way back in 2009, when the nickname Siri was still viable! I still love Sigrid and have been thinking about it a lot lately—I imagine a bookish and steely yet gentle woman (with braids). What do you think?

Sigrid is a great name. There is a TV show host named Anna-Sigga. Sigga can stand alone but I do love the Anna Sigga combination!

My favourite Nordic name. I knew a Sigrid who was extremely naughty at school, homework didn't exist for her, she was blonde and beautiful with memorable cheekbones, and the boys used to collapse in heaps if she looked at them. I rather liked her, but she just wasn't a school person. Now, however, she's married with children and has a successful career as a guidance psychologist!
