Dudley is actually my middle name; I’m 18 years old. It’s been in my family for four generations, and I can’t say that I like it. With my first and last name being joke-worthy, this middle name (with the “Dud” beginning) certainly didn’t help; I was teased mercilessly (in school). However, as I’ve become an adult, I’ve come to terms with it; my middle name has been Dudley forever (would I change my name? Sure I would [I hate Dudley], but I’m sticking with familial ties). Anyone who makes fun of me for my name isn’t worth my time, because they’re an ignorant jerk. That’s a perk that I get with this name; I can weed out anyone who I should avoid. Name your pets Dudley if you so choose to, or even your child; nobody is stopping you. Do keep in mind, you may get teasing, but don’t let anyone yuck your yum. Would I name myself Dudley, if given a chance to name myself at birth? I sure wouldn’t. As for Dudda, I especially dislike this name, but that’s just my opinion.

Dudley is all Harry Potter. Dudda makes my face frown when I say it. Like a bad stutter.

Dudley is fit only for a pet. Dudda just sounds like a baby-talk nn/mispronunciation of Dudley, so I wouldn't give it to another pet in Dudley's household.

Dud is an unfortunate ingredient in any name, and Dudda sounds like a shudder in the rudder. I don't mind Dudley really, it's familiar without being dated - never was very popular, where I live anyway - and is also, fashionably, a surname. But I wouldn't use it.

Dudley is ok for a pet, dudda no

I think Dudley would be cute for a big, friendly dog. Dudda is just bad.

Dudda is... interesting. (Nice save.) Dudley was the surname of my best friend in kindergarten -- she had a mother from hell who would refuse to let her play with me if I was excited (as excitement usually results in the repetitive movements that caused me so much grief in later years.) EDIT: sorry, I meant for that to be a reply to OP.

Dudda sounds stupid to me even as a name for a pet.I knew someone with a rabbit named Dudley and I thought that was cute.
