I see it more as a surname, given the fact that the only associations that I have with it are The Brady Bunch and of (retired?) footballer Tom Brady.
It's not terrible, but as a name itself it reminds me of braids or if someone braiding hair. The "bray" sound also does it no justice, because 馃珡
It's is certainly more tolerable than any of those other ones though. (Talking, Brayden/Braden, Braylee/Brayley, and all those other ones that belong hidden away, never to be seen again.)
