[Opinions] Fern
This name has really been growing on me lately. What do you think of it? It would sound weird with a 1 syllable surname ending in N, right?

I like it. Its simple, charming grace feels quite natural. When I think about it, Fern is a pastel-lavender sky painted with scarlet vines that reach into golden clouds. I don't really get your point about the surname... it should flow reasonably well with its surname, but there's no reason not to use it, if only for that reason.

I like it but I’m not sure if I would actually use it.

I like Fern. It's friendly and gently eccentric. I don't think it would sound strange with a one syllable surname ending in N..... Unless it was something like Fern Brown or Fern Mann or something that sounds more wordy than namey.

I knew a Fern Brown once, long ago! Thanks for reminding me. She was a medical student.

Don't really like it, I think it might not work with the surname

Aw, I love Fern! My friend’s cousin named her baby Fern Elodie a few months ago, which seems on trend.

I'm really not a bit keen on Fern as an independent plant name in its own right. But, I had a colleague once named Fernanda who was known as Fern, and I found that really pleasant. It could also solve your N-ending problem!
