[Opinions] Re: Thoughts on the name Lucky for a girl?
in reply to a message by Guest
This is not a real person's name. This is the doomed bombadier in the war movie, the litte dog who never gets adopted, the hood from the wrong side of the tracks, not a real child, certainly not a girl who has to live in the real world.

Actually, it was given to 83 babies in the US in 2021, some of whom were girls. For context, that's about: more than Prosper, Fortuna, and Cherry combined; the same as Lark and Lilac combined; 10 uses less than Primrose and 10 uses more than Prudence; half as much as Honesty or Cherish or Karma; twice as much as Freedom; more than twice as much as Enid; nearly 3x as much as Peregrine; 4x as much as Lakshmi; more than 4x as much as Starling or Deirdre...if you only count the feminine uses, it was given about as often as Deirdre in 2021 or about as often as Peregrine was used as masculine.

You missed the point entirely.
I didn't. I thought it wasn't a good point.
Plus I was actually curious about its use, so I compared it to some random names in case anyone else is curious.
