I think it's kind of cool/charming though riskier than Hope or Sunny. I've only seen it used as a NN for Lakshmi. Or as a guy name (Lucky Blue Smith and also a minor character in Star Wars).

It does seem likely to be a pet name to me but not moreso than Daisy or Clover or Chance, whatever that tells you.
