I find it quite formal, but not too serious because a character in Disney comics is named like that (https://disney.fandom.com/wiki/Brigitta_MacBridge). I like its sound and its meaning, but I wouldn't use it for a baby because of the association with the character. I don't find Brigitta a bad character, but in some stories she can't be taken too seriously.
