Help[Surname] Flockhart
I saw in the famous birthdays section in Saturday's Courier was the infamous Ally Mcbeal actress Ms Flockhart, but what is her surname's meaning? I used to think when I was young that she and Vonda were related because of their last names being a flock of sheep, a shepard's job.

According to Black's The Surnames of Scotland, Flockhart is a development of Flucker which is "[p]erhaps a metathesis of Frisian Folker or Folcker".
