*sighs* That's a tough choice because I adore both names, but, I guess, Celeste for today.

Celeste no contest

Celeste, definitely. Elizabeth is too bland.

I’d go with Elizabeth, a classic versatile choice, but Celeste is pretty too.

Idk why but I never could learn to like Celeste, but then I do sometimes struggle with my S’s so I guess it’s a me problem. So I guess it Elizabeth for me, I prefer longer names anyway and I love aallll the nicknames, the list goes on and on and on and I'm obsessed.

Elizabeth. I hate Celeste.

These are both good names, belonging to the children of very different parents - I can't imagine Elizabeth & Celeste being sisters. Of the two, I'd likely choose Elizabeth as a first name if only because I tend to prefer Celeste as a middle name (it goes with a lot; meanwhile, Elizabeth as a middle is overdone).

I like both but I’ll go with Celeste as Elizabeth is overdone in my family. I have four generations of Elizabeth Jane and the last generation named her daughter Elizabeth Ann. There is at least one in every generation of my family including my sister and my first cousin once removed (my cousins daughter).

Thank you! Finally someone else who doesn't like Celeste.

Celeste, but I like both and I like them together.

Definitely Elizabeth, though perhaps better as a mn. I've only known one Celeste, who loathed her name with a passion, found it revoltingly sentimental, and insisted on being called Sally. I find it over-ambitious, an echo of Babar and the Queen of the Elephants, and the name of a friend's kitten when we were about six and reading Babar; the kitten soon became known as Kitty.

Ugh, Elizabeth, I guess. It bores me to tears, but at least she could go by Eliza. Celeste feels like crêpe paper.
