[Opinions] Do you like unisex names? So what name do you like?
I like unisex names and I like gender-specific names, but I prefer unisex names like Sam and Chris over super masculine or feminine names like Maverick and Arabella. And I like Alexis, Ashley, Blair, Blake, Cameron, Casey, Cassidy, Darcy, Hayden, Jade, Kendall, Meredith, Peyton, Sage, Shannon, Shelby, Skyler, Tatum, Taylor, among them. Among unisex nicknames, I like Sam, Chris, and Jess.

I tend to prefer a lot of unisex names more on one gender than the other.
Robin is one of my favorite unisex names, but I'd rather see it on a boy.
Maverick is a word (virtue?) name that could be either gender IMO. It is used more for boys right now, but I think that will change. It's like Anthem or Sage where the word itself sounds ambiguous.

I wouldn't say I dislike most names that are unisex... more that most unisex names I only like for one gender, because that's the image in my head. For instance, in your original post: I love Blair and Jade, but only as feminine names. (I like feminine Cassidy, Meredith, and Sage as well.) And I've always liked Cameron as a masculine name (and used to like Casey, though not as much these days). There is a small handful of names, however, that I enjoy on absolutely anyone:
Arrow
Onyx
River
Robin
Rowan
Valentine
Arrow
Onyx
River
Robin
Rowan

So what name do you like?
No, because what people insist on calling unisex, are almost invarably either masculine or a surname or both. I'd guess that less than 5% of everything people call unisex actally are. Particularly dislike the huge fad for surnames of every stripe being used as first names particularly on girls who deserve better, imo.

I don't like unisex names; I've got very traditional tastes. The only unisex name I would ever think of using is Robin, but since I only think of it as a male name (female version Robyn, but I'm not a fan) I don't suppose it counts. Most of the names on your list started out as surnames, and I prefer them that way.
Thanks for your comment.
I generally lean strongly one way or the other on each of them but they are unisex so:
August, Camille, Rowan, Morgan, Jordan, Luka, Arden, Afton
Plus Meredith, Ashley (only on a boy), Darcy, Hayden, Sage.
