Carmela is pretty, but Carmelita is too much. I ultimately prefer Carmen, though.

Never understood Carmen. It sounds to me like "car men" which is an unpleasant association for a female name.

Carmen is lovely, one of my favourites. I also like Carmela.

In a life or death situation; Carmen. Carmela is ugly and Carmelita makes me want to barf. I knew a girl named Carmelina and I really disliked that as well. Saccharine, the lot of them.

Carmen. Less is more.

My favorite out of all of them is Carmen! Carmela is good (wouldn't personally use but good neither the less.) Carmelita Is a bit to sickly sweet to me but its ok.

Carmella (this spelling) is my favorite—I love it! I also love Carmen and like Carmelita (though I might prefer it on a chihuahua).
