Its better than Bryce but I still don't like the way it sounds. I'm not sure why.

This name is now so obscure, other than being the name of Batman, that it's kind of cute again! It's gruff and brusque in a stately way. It's got an echo of faded, rough Highland beauty, like Douglas and Duncan. I would think it very adorable if I saw a baby Bruce. It's got a lot of chutzpah, honestly, and I admire that.

It's a bit too gruff for my liking, but I admire its slightly old-fashioned stodginess. I'd smile if I met a young Bruce.

I have a South African cousin Bruce, but I always think of it as the go-to name for a male Australian. A former colleague, South African and a Bruce, delighted me by emigrating to Australia and working for a woman named Sheila. I find the vowel in Bruce unattractive, which is silly because I love Lucy and Ruth.
