Thoughts on Stevie?

As a nickname for Stevena or the like, it makes sense. It sounds really manly as a full name though.

It’s okay as a nickname for Stephanie. I’ve never cared for it on a boy or as a given name.

I like it! I prefer it as a nickname and I think it's too dated for an actual baby (whether it's Stevie by itself or short for Stephanie). It still sounds young to me, but not young enough for a baby. Stevie Nicks is the biggest association. I'd assume someone named Stevie would be attractive and adventurous.

I’m biased, as it’s my name. But I like it. It’s much better than Stephanie (my other name).Though it has been a source of bullying and as an adult, it’s been a reason people won’t take me seriously. However, that’s not my problem. People shouldn’t be so judgey.Plus sharing a name with Stevie Nicks is pretty badass. :)

Personally, I don't like either men or women. This also applies to Frankie.

I think it’s ugly. I have known many male Steven/Stephens, and a few of them were called Steve or Stevie.
I think the trends of giving traditionally boys names to girls, is dumb. I know it’s happened for a thousand years and all that, but the popularity rise in the last few years of little Frankie and Stevie and Dallas and Parker’s running around with pigtails and hair bows drives me a little crazy. It’s just not my thing at all.
I knew a girl, her dad’s name was Steve, and he died right after she got married. She said if she had a girl, her name was going to be Stevie. Like, her actual name. I was quite glad she ended up having several boys.

I really dislike it and am dumbfounded by its recent popularity spike. like... can't believe it.

I hate it. On a boy as a nn for Steven it's babyish and cutesy. On a girl, even short for Stephanie, it's babyish and self-consciously butchy.

I like it but also for my personal style I like masculine-leaning names for girls so Stevie is right up my alley

It's one of the worst names out there, in my opinion. It sounds unpleasant and reminds me of "stinky".

I'm sure you'll get a lot of people hating it, but I think it's great and should be used more often, if only for Stevie Nicks.

Don't like it at all

It’s okay as a nickname for Stephanie but not as a stand-alone name.

Stevie is pretty awful for anyone. All the Stephanie people I've known have gone by Steph, which is a whole lot better and, unlike Stevie, not unisex.
