I love it! Nn Bee is adorable!
I like both names equally but I personally would use Beatrix as it’s less common and I would use the nn Trixie. I also love the Beatrix Potter association.

Beatrix is lovely, though I prefer Beatrice, which I find more elegant and timeless. I associate Beatrix with the daughters (born in the early 2010s) of hip, affluent NYC intelligentsia.

I'm going to date myself with this, but Kill Bill is still the first thing I think of when I see this name. I think that character was the most impactful Beatrix influence on me, since I hadn't seen it much anywhere else, or since. I somehow managed to have an entire childhood without encountering Beatrix Potter. It's not a bad character, at least! But I still cringe a bit on reflex because Beatrix feels like it's trying so hard to be cool and I get secondhand embarrassment. It's so self-aware. It would make a great stage name or pen name for someone who wants to put on a persona to say "look at me and how special and different I am". That's not to say I don't like it, I do think it's a neat name. I just prefer Beatrice because it's warmer and more beautiful to my ear.

My mother was Beatrice, which was her mother's mn. My daughter's name is Beatrice, and she likes the nn Bea, pronounced like Bee. My associations with Beatrix are all to do with Dutch royalty; not of interest to me.

Quite a beautiful name! I find it academic, silent and sober, and I hope it becomes popular again. I don't like the nickname Bee, though, it's childish. Bea (BEE-a) is much better, but I like Trix and Trixie as well. I prefer Beatrix over Beatrice, but the latter is good too.

I do prefer Beatrice, but I also prefer the nickname "Bee" to "Bea."Beatrice lands softer for me. The -x feels out of place with the vibe of the rest of the name to me.

I always think of Beatrix LaStrange plus Trixie from Call the Midwives.I think I prefer it to Beatrice; gives more nickname choices. Beatrix can be Bea or Trix or Trixie. But Beatrice just has Bea.Both names give me a quiet, smart girl vibe.

I love both.Beatrice has dusty, classic, timeless charm, and comes across as very elegant. Beatrix has way more spunk. I know a Beatrice who goes by Bibi or her full name; and a Beatrix who goes by Bea. Both are 9-12 years old. Both names are gorgeous, you can’t go wrong!

I love Beatrix! Fun, feisty, energetic, vintage. It feels like such a happy, bright name to me. I love everything about it. My primary association is a character who mostly goes by Trixie, and I adore Beatrix nn Trixie because of her (I know how unpopular Trixie is though). I like Beatrice too, it gives off much quieter, calm, reserved energy with an almost floral image. But Beatrix wins for me.

I love names that end with X!

Beatrix reminds me of Beazus the Beverly Clearly character, because when I was younger that's what I misremembered Beazus as. I don't like the way it sounds. The X is abrasive, so I prefer Beatrice. I love the nickname Bea or Bee. :) It reminds me of a spelling bee, so I think of a smart girl.
