[Opinions] Are there any given names you see as truly gender-neutral?
I think for me, it'd be:
Ashton
Quinn
Rain
River
Rowan
Skyler

The spelling gives the gender away, but on sound alone, Francis and Leslie.

I don't have a gender preference for most unisex names, but if I had to choose, I would say nicknames like Alex, Chris, Jess, and Sam.

Aubrey ... seem to have no relationship to gender at all in my mind. They can't be sexy. (The names, I mean - not implying anything about bearers of them) I might have some expectation or preference about what gender they'd belong on, but the names themselves seem genderless. They're neutral with respect to gender in the way that gray, black, and white seem neutral, have no color.I'm sure there are more, but I think very few names seem "truly neutral" like that for me. Most names that I see as potentially gender-neutral, or neutral by usage, are at least versatile - they become masculine on a guy, feminine on a gal. I feel like they can have aspects of either gender. River is one of those "switch" names, IMO. Also Robin. Alex. Jamie. Kelly. Theo. There are a lot of those.

It's interesting how only names ending with consonants strike me as completely gender-neutral.
