It's fine for pet only but reminds me of bingo cards.

It's a cute pet name and nickname. I would never use it legally myself. However, it sounds like it could be Japanese (although it would sound pretty archaic) in the same manner as Bungo.

My family got a Scottie puppy when I was about 3; they kindly said she was my dog. I named her Bingo, and I've got no clue where I got the idea from. It has a Bertie Wooster air about it, perhaps someone he was at school with?

As a person who also had a pet with this name, I can say it is very much a pets' name.
