My family got a puppy on Saturday! She is a 2-month-old Goldendoodle who weighs around 15 pounds (she will be a big dog).We have named her Sarah Magnolia Rose, and we're calling her Sadie exclusively. Thoughts on her name? Here she is:PXL-20240121-000817256

She's very cute, congrats! Sadie is a good dog name, very friendly. It's funny, two different dogs in my family were named versions of "Sarah" - there was Zara (changed from Sara because it was too "human": people names on dogs weren't fashionable yet) and then Sadie, like yours! Sarah Magnolia Rose is a very grand name.

Thank you! That's funny about Zara and Sadie. Zara was actually on our long list, but didn't make it to the top contenders. A very pretty name, too.

She's a really cute puppy. Congratulations!
As for the name, well, Sadie's only about the most popular name for dogs that I know of, besides Bella, and that's about it.

Thank you!Sadie is a very popular dog name, you're right, and that was my main reservation, but we decided to use it anyway. Everyone in the family liked it, which is always a hard position to arrive at, and it has good associations for us.

Congrats!! Cute! What's the point if the long name if being Sadie? She won't care about the full name.

Thank you!The long name is just for fun really, because I like making up combos. Magnolia "Maggie" and Rose "Rosie" were both names we considered for her, so it was fun to add them as "middle names" even though we didn't use them. She won't know about her full name, which is okay.
