[Opinions] Which 1930s to 1940s names do you predict will make a comeback?
I think this would be Betty, Eileen, Joan, Judith, Marilyn, Nancy.

I am all over this, I am convinced this is gonna be the next big trend. Well, maybe not a trend, but..... something.
Eileen and Francine I could see coming back. Irene! Lucille, maybe. Helen I would love. Nancy, absolutely. Betty and Judith would be great.
For boys, maybe John? Johnny and Jack feel ready for a comeback in the US, I think they are already big in the UK. Arthur, too. Maybe really dorky stuff will come back. I've seen a couple toddlers named Gene, which is astonishing. Frank and Fred?? Howard! Howie will make a comeback.
I'm bad at this because there are lots of names I'd love to see returning, but I am not sure how likely it would be.

I like Howard a lot and wouldn't mind it resurging.
Oh yeah, Connie is definitely making a comeback.
I now think that by comeback you meant an increase in popularity, not a return to the charts. I misunderstood and tried to find names that were no longer ranked in the US top 1000's. My predictions still stand, though. I think many parents are looking for cute, simple, short or unisex names right now. If they fit all 4 criteria, then much the better for them.

I know a female Fayette, she’s few months old now.
I think you're right about Betty due to Riverdale and the Taylor Swift song. Eileen and Judith seem like might already be making a comeback, which is great because Judith is a lovely name. Marilyn fits in with the -lyn trend, so I would also agree with that. I think Nancy is still viewed as dated, but I do know it's popular in the UK, so that's definitely possible.
I theorize that Joyce, Rita, and Shirley will make a comeback (especially Shirley because of the -ley ending). I'm also hoping Charlene will make a comeback due to its similarity to Charlotte. I know this is a little earlier than 1930s/1940s, but I definitely think Pauline will make a comeback soon.

Pauline from Nintendo is back in the spotlight. That will hopefully help.
Thank you.
