I love it. It's warmly eccentric and vintage. It's fun because it can be seen as a sort of twangy, sunny, fresh lemonade in a jam jar sort of name.... Or as a gothic, Dark Academia, cursed family heirloom kind of name. It's got range, darling.

Opal's lovely and brimming with personality.

Opals are pretty but the word is not. It's my same problem with Garnet. It sucks because I usually adore gem names that others hate (Diamond, Crystal and Jewel). The NN Opie is not to my taste either.

I think Opal is beautiful. Opals are one of my favorite gemstones and I love the glittery quality. I like that sound and spelling wise it's short and simple.

I love Opal, but then again I love most gemstone names.

I like the gemston opal, but I personally don't like it as a name Opal. Because I don't like the way it sounds.
