[Opinions] Kinsley
Kinsley -- Okay, good, bad or really bad? why?

Replies

Really bad.
"Sley" is unpleasant sound. Kinley would flow better, but it still sounds childlike.
It's one of those names that's like biting tin foil.
Really dreadful and flimsy. Like tinsel.
Reminds me of Alfred Kinsley too much.
The "-nsley" part both disgusts and fascinates me. It's so gross I am kind of transfixed by it. I'm putting Kinsley on my Uncanny Valley name list. It belongs with names like Sloane and Greer.
I also think -nsley sounds disgusting and am sort of fascinated by it. I don't know why I hate it so much. I don't hate the sound of Kinsey / Kenzie / Kingsley.I don't quite categorize it with Sloane and Greer; I can maybe see those as...abrupt/gray/bleak/austere?...but they don't seem screechy or make me cringe like Kinsley, Tinsley, Ainsley do.

To me, it's inoffensive, but it's got so little personality it can't even really be bad. It's just one of those bland, Anglo-Saxon surname-types with a sort-of first-name sound that has suddenly gotten very fashionable as a first name.
Don't really like it
I think it's horrific. The sounds are ugly; I think of sexologist Alfred Kinsey; and it will inevitably be dated.
Personally, I don't like it. I feel like it's too cutie and childish.
