In 1999, the WMO decided to retire the names Bernice, Della, Harley, Julia, Kieran, Martin, Penny, Ross, Virginie, Warren, Beta, Theta, and Kappa. Due to Greek rules, they are gonna be used later on. They were replaced with Beth, Doreen, Harper, Jasmine, Kendrick, Malcolm, Phylicia, Randall, Victoria, and Wilbur for the 2004 season, respectively.
