WDYT of Alice?

I find Alice very sweet and timeless. It obviously brings to mind the girl from the Alice in Wonderland story and that doesn’t bother me a bit. I also think of the funny house keeper in The Brady Bunch tv show and thanks to Ann B. Davis (the actress who portrayed her), I don’t see that as a bad thing either! All in all, a lovely name.

I love Alice, because it's so exotic. It's so storybook British. Nobody uses it where I live, I've never met an Alice in my life. Not even an old lady Alice! So it's irresistibly quaint and very strongly tied to the book character. I don't know what an equivalent would be.... Maybe something like Pollyanna. Or Paddington. Or Dracula.Alice is adorable, one of my faves.

I love Alice. It's a fresh, gorgeous classic. It even made my top 10 this month!

Not a fan. I think its sound is unpleasant.

It's lovely—a dainty classic.

Sorry, but this is one of those names I can't stand. Personally, I don't like the sound. It somehow feels like the sound of scratching on a blackboard. But that doesn't mean I think it's a bad name with an inherently bad sound. This is just my personal feeling.

It seems old fashioned. I’d use a different version like Ada, Adeline or Alyssa if I was naming a daughter today. Too Alice in Wonderland.

Strangely enough, that is exactly the reason I love the name so much, and would not hesitate to use it. A world where nothing makes sense makes perfect sense to me.
