[Opinions] What name would you like to see a comeback?
What is an old/vintage name or an obscure name that's currently out of 1000 name charts would you like to see come back?

My favourite boys name is Cecil (sehs-el) and I would love for it to come back. I also love the nickname Midge (g).

Doris. I don't like it enough to use it, but I would like to come across a few little Doris's running around. Also Cynthia, Tonya, Kenneth, Kurt, Vaughn, Clinton, Jesse, Sally, Valerie, Ursula, Lisa, Laura, Dawn, Veronica, Sonia, Bridget, Bernadette, Paulina, Cheryl, Susannah, Robin (M), maybe Rusty,

Doris is super cute, I agree. When I saw that a character on American Horror Story was called this a few years ago, I got hopeful that Doris was making a comeback, but I guess we're just not ready for it yet.

I would guess that it's going to start making appearances again but not for another 10 or 20 years.

I feel like a lot of those names aren't very old/vintage yet.

I pulled them all (save for Doris, Sonia
Bridget which just came from my mind) from the top 1000 from 1963 list lmao. They're all vintage. Vintage just means 30 or more years but trust me these are older choices. Check their stats if you don't believe me.

I recently learned that Dana is no longer in the top 1000. It fell off a few years back. Dana is cute, I think it should come back! Other names not in the top 1000 that I think need more attention:Agatha
Agnes
Annette
Ariadne (I guess it had only a brief moment on the charts)
Bernice
Blanche
Carol
Charmaine
Claudia
Colleen
Clifford
Constance
Deanna
Darlene
Dierdre! Love this name
DinahOk gosh a lot of names are on here that I really like, and I can't believe some of the names that have dropped off the charts! Like Candace and Christine, Cheryl, and Denise... I knew their moment had passed but I thought for sure they would be at the bottom somewhere.

Brenda - I think that the letter B needs more attention. It's been left out from being  for years.

For me, it's Patricia. It's a name I personally love quite a bit, so I'd like to see it make a comeback.

The only one that instantly comes to mind is Ida. I'm astonished how it hasn't made a comeback already, seeing how well it goes with a lot of other names. (:Edit: Enid is certainly another one. Find it absolutely adorable!

I know an Ida! She's 8-9ish years old and it's so refreshing to hear a classic on such a young girl.

I totally agree! Ida is such a beautiful name, and it doesn't sound old-fashioned to me at all.

Same here! It's one of a few names I wouldn't mind actually using. (: I find it cute and endearing.
