[Opinions] What names make the best twin name pairings?
What names do you guys think work really well as twin names (regardless of whether you've actually seen them used as such?

I agree with other posters - something with the same style or a subtle theme, but not too matchy. Basically exactly like any other siblings.Wesley & Sophie
Leo & Lydia
Clark & Rose
Emily & Sophie
Adalyn & Elizabeth
Eva & Zoe
Caleb & Carter
Alexander & Lucas
Brooks & Darcy

I don't think about twin names very often, I guess they must not interest me too much. But, I like the idea of very subtle themes.Like Leo & Norma, both names of constellations. Some anagram pairs make me happy, like Diana & Aidan, Alice & Celia, Amy & May, Darlene & Leander, Dolly & Lloyd. The anagram thing is a major GP idea because philosophically I'm not sure I agree with it (the idea that they are the same person, just rearranged).

I would name them like I would name any other siblings, meaning I would try to keep them in a similar style while avoiding names that rhyme or begin with the same letter. Most twins I know had a hard enough time being seen as an individual growing up. Not many people want to constantly be thought of as part of a set. Some do like to lean into the twin thing, but there are other ways to do that where it’s their choice and it’s not forced on them.

I’ve always liked Brendan (prince) & Sarah (princess) for b/g twins

I prefer twin names that aren't an alliteration set (although some of them can certainly work) and names that don't usually rhyme. My late mother was a twin, my direct aunt, and their names, I kid you not, were Molly & Polly. (Polly was my mother)
I'm accustomed to seeing the names together as I grew up with them, so it's perhaps not so unusual for me, but it's also not something I can ever see myself doing if I were to ever have twins, which I doubt. I'd never give them extremely matchy names like Saige & Paige or Brady & Grady. Lol!There's a set of twins in a series that I wrote (a collection of 3 currently unpublished novels,) that I named Ava & Zoe and I absolutely love them! I love how well they go together, but aren't overly matchy. I love their 3 letters 2 syllable similarity. I'll post some others later on if they come to mind.

Can't edit previous message (btn is having some weird glitch) but names for twins that I like and can't believe I didn't remember them sooner are:Lydia & Elowen
Cole & Dean

Yikes, rhyming ones are just cringey. I feel like they’d get confused for each other all the time.

Oh, believe me they had, and if that wasn't bad enough, they have/had 11 older siblings whose names all rhymed as well, yet my mother and her sister Molly were the only twins. Grandma surely was in a rhyming spree. 🥴

Let me get this right, there were 13 kids who all had names that rhyme with Molly and Polly?? Or did the other siblings have a different rhyming scheme?

Lol, no. A different rhyming scheme. The other names, and I do wish I wish I was joking, were Harry (jr) Larry, Barry, Gary, Terry, Perry, Sherry, Merry, Jerry, etc. you get the idea. A few of them went by unrelated nicknames, but yeah, still pretty weird. I can only imagine the amount of times my grandparents got their names mixed up. 😅
