[Opinions] Kaylynn & Gillean
Kaylynn is a name I found in today’s newspaper. All I can think is Caitlin when I see it and suspect that she may have to spell her name out as I don’t think I’m the only one who initially thinks Caitlin but WDYT?Gillean is a man’s name that I found on a neighbourhood online discussion forum. WDYT?Don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from

Kaylynn is ok, don't like the way its spelt. (I would prefer Kaylin or something like that.)Gillean feels like a girls name but also a boys name...its ok.

Kaylynn is fine, the spelling is not too out there thb.
Gillean would read a 'unique' spelled Gillian (and female) to me. Would you not just name your kid Gideon?

Personally, I think Gideon is awful but Gillean is fine.

A Gille or sometimes Ghillie is a man’s highland servant (think more like guide when hunting, hawking or fishing). I wonder if the name means servant of…..

I'm not a fan of that spelling. I prefer KaylenI don't mind Gillean, but I'd prefer it with a hard "g" pronunciation.

Kaylynn is ok, even if only a combo of popular sounds, but I don’t like that spelling, it’s awkward.Gillean is odd to me and only reminds me of the girls’ name Gillian. I’d prefer Gilead, although that seems to be controversial in the comments due to the association with the book/show. But it’s not my association so I personally think it’s ok.
