Do you think Suzanne could have a revival? What do you think about the name? It has been off the US top 1000 for twenty-five years, and peaked in the mid 1940s.
Suzanne has the kind of style that I feel deep in my bones will become more popular over the next few decades (the opposite of the brisk futuristic names that sound like brands that are currently trendy - like Nova, Genesis, Luna, Ari, Niko, etc). It's teetering on the edge of clunky and dated to us nowadays, but it has a kind of reassuring warm familiarity and capable elegance as well. It's going to be a grandma name pretty soon, if it isn't already!
Normally I wouldn't find much to like about this name, it's too flat and familiar. But I was looking at it in a different way recently and I could see it having a lot of appeal to younger generations. Also it's the name of the Hunger Games author, who was important to a huge number of kids growing up, and it'll have that nostalgia element going for it. The idea of meeting a toddler called Suzanne is quirky and downright adorable to me.
