I’ve always been an annoying contrarian who’s freaked out by homogeneity—I remember being disturbed by all the Katies, Sarahs, and Nicoles I knew as a kid.

Ah, that's totally fair! I knew a lot of Abigails as a kid, but I found that fun, although I suppose it wasn't fun for them.
