[Opinions] Benaiah
A friend of mine named his first son today. The name he chose was Benaiah (commonly pronounced as Bnaya). Brother to Maya Yocheved, Avigail Emunah and Liora. I think it's an alright name, but I expected something less trendy.

This name is trendy? I’ve never heard of it until this post.Seems okay, like a cross between Ben and Isaiah. But I’d prefer either of those to Benaiah.

I didn't realise it was trendy. The name is good and goes well with his sisters names

I've never heard of this name, so I wouldn't call it trendy. I like it, though! It struck me as Jewish right away, so it fits in with the rest of their names.

What about it makes it seem trendy? Is there a famous person named it in Israel, or is it something about the style? It doesn't look like it's charting anywhere. I remember I liked it about 16-18 years ago. I was more religious then. I don't really like the sound now. I've never met any.

Ah, so it's a popular Israeli name. The rankings on here for Israel only have the top 100.

Benaiah is gorgeous! I’ve never met anyone with this name and I think it’s great. Fits in really well with his sisters names.
