I was scrolling through the SSA data and noticed how many different spellings there were of certain names, so I think I might start a series where I post them all for a different name each time!

What do you guys think of these spellings? Which is the most horrifying?

I didn’t even know it was possible to spell any name this many times! I guess my favourite would have to be Kalani or Kelani. The worst in my opinion in Khlani. I don’t see how that’s even pronounced the same.
I got 45/76 in the quiz, so I’m very proud (if horrified) with the results. :)

I don't know who Kehlani is, I'm old now, thank god. I think I kind of like Kelany? And Kaylanie, that's kinda cute.

The worst to try to spell is probably.... Kaelahni. Even if someone spelled it out for me, I think I'd scramble it.

Gosh, I didn't really care much for this name to begin with (to put it as kindly as possible). I've known the "Kaylani" spelling to be the most popular. I dislike the "Kailanii" spelling the most, I believe. I do like how Khalanie looks, if pronounced as "Kuh-LAWN-nee;" I'd choose that over the others...if I had to. If I were to give it my own twist, I'd go for Caylonie "Kay-LAWN-nee," I guess.

Yeah, it's crazy how a singer can cause a name to completely blow up. Caylonie isn't bad!

I notice recently that kre8tiv spellings bring me more joy than they used to. So do grammar mistakes. But my favorite version in this list is still the most popular one (Kehlani).

Kelanie and Khalani are my favorite of the alt spellings.

Kaylonie seems the worst to me because I think of baloney. I don't like the Kay* group in general either.

It’s funny because I’m the opposite. I used to think kre8tive spellings were so much better, but I think maybe because the names in general are getting worse, I’m finding the spelling variants to be less tolerable.

Kailani, the original spelling, is still my favorite, but I do enjoy Kelanie and Keilani well. My least favorites are mostly the ones with an H in it. Silent Hs just seem messy and unnecessary to me.
