[Facts] Meaning of Eliane
I read some of the meanings of the name on this site:
Sun
God has answered me
my God is Yahweh
I'd like to know which one is correct?

I suspect that some religious people have seen the 'El-' at the beginning of Eliane and assumed that it is the same as the Hebrew 'El', which does mean God, as in Elizabeth. But Aelius has no connection with Hebrew, so that makes their definitions inaccurate.

This site only list "sun" as its meaning (see Eliane), where did you get the others from?

In some of the comments.(see Éliane)

Ah, I see. I believe that in the beginning of Eliane's usage, it is inspired by Aelianus, hence the meaning "sun". But as some of the comments suggest, it can be a feminine form of Elijah, Elias, etc., or it can also be a combination of Ellie and Anne.
