[Opinions] Thomas
What do you think of the name Thomas? One day I love it and the other I think it’s blah. Do you like the nickname Tommy? What about Tommie for a girl?

It's handsome but boring. I prefer it to the other boring (i.e., classic) male names, though. I love the meaning.I find Tommy grating; my favorite nickname is probably Thom. Tommie would be a cute female nickname for Tomyris, Tomislava, or Tomila.

It's pretty nice as far as boring classics go. I like Thom, and Tommy. Variations of Thomas can be fun, like Tomasz, Teoma, Tomasz, Tomek, Tavish, etc. Tommie is great, I'd be excited to meet one. Thomasina is much nicer than Thomas, imo.

Ooh, I like Tomek!

Both my grandfathers were named Thomas. I'd have used it for a son; unpretentious, classic, and Tom is a good nn. Tommy is infantile, and I don't understand what you mean by 'Tommie for a girl'. Tommie as a full name? Thomas as unisex, with a fem-looking nn? Thomasina, nn Tommie? Something else?

I first came across the (nick)name Tommie on a woman in the tv serie The Good Karma Hospital and I thought it was an interesting name.

It’s ok. More middle name material than first name. I can’t imagine Tommie on a girl even though I like some masculine nn for girls. I’d go for Tamsin. Tommy on a boy is kinda immature, I guess Tom is fine.

I very much prefer Tommy over Thomas.

I think this is one of the most milquetoast names ever. Tommy seems a bit silly.

I like Thomas, It's a traditional, classic and handsome boy name. Like Jack and Charlie, Tommy sounds like a friendly, approachable boy-next-door.

It's nice, but I don't like it for a girl

A nice respectable name. Tommy is cute, Tommie for a girl is acceptable especially if her full name contains Thomas (Thomasine, Thomasina, etc.)
