I have considered Clara and Hilda. My husband likes them both more than me, but definitely on the list!
Her sisters have 1890s names, so:
Florence
Mabel
Lucy
Phyllis
Ruth
Helen
Alice
Laura
Harriet

Ruth
Helen
Alice
Laura
Harriet
Lucy is a favorite! I'm wondering if it's too common, especially since the neighbors named their dog Lucy (figures haha!)
Florence is very intriguing!
Helen is a family name, and I love "Nellie"
Alice is cute, but I kind of like the idea of having a different initial letter than Agnes.

My kids have three given names and are none the worse for it. How about Helen Alice Lucy Surname - ticks all your boxes!
My mom would be over the moon for Rosemary since my grandmother's name was very close to that. We did use Rose and Mary both as middle names already though.
Flora is cute!

I’m so glad you’ve found some suggestions that you enjoy. I’m impressed with your selections. Please let us know what you decide :-)
Lucille fits so well with the sibset!
Thanks, Amoret :-)

Sylvaine is nice! I think I like it better than Sylvia.
A couple we know just named their daughter Wilhelmina "Willa". I love it so much!
I have a soft spot for Nellie, so Nella is tempting, but I feel like it doesn't have enough gravitas. Helen is a bit stiff to me. What do you think of Helaine or Helenne? I like the French pronunciation, but I don't want to use accent marks in America. It would be too hard for people to understand.

I always thought of Helene with the Greek pronunciation like Hel-ee-nee. An early interest in Greek mythology dies hard! I want to like Helena, but it's hard to imagine using it when there are two major pronunciations that people seem to use equally.
I love Mildred and Millie, but husband is skeptical.
Gertrude is a good option, but I knew a Trudie who was really odd, so I'm struggling to break the association.
I really want to like Ida. Can you convince me? I wish we could pronounce it ee-da like they do in Germany, but alas we are in America.
Agatha is too similar because we call Agnes "Aggie" a lot. She is almost 5 and pronounces her name "Ah-nex" which is adorable, but she can say and spell Aggie perfectly.

I never gave Florence much thought, but I definitely will now. It's coming up on a lot of these replies!
Violet too.
Ada is cute! If I hadn't already used an A name, it would be higher on the list. I found out with two E kids in a row that it helps to have different initials when I'm organizing their things.
