[Opinions] Veronica nn. Vera
Wdyt? What do you think of each name?

I adore each! Especially Vera, it seems cold, yet elegant. I think of winter and Gothic castles.
And I actually know Veronica, who sometimes goes by Vera.
When she and I were kids, I knew a Veronica who, with her parents, fought unsuccessfully against the world, which insisted on calling her by a variety of nns instead of her rather large fn. They tried Vera, Ronnie and I think Nicky or perhaps Nica. It isn't a name I'm particularly attracted to, and since I know a Greek Vera who pronounces it VERa, like the first syllable of 'very' plus an a, instead of the way I'm used to in English, where VER rhymes with ear, Vera has problems for me as well. As names, they are both OK but not good enough for me to actually use.
Both names are nice. I like Vonnie as a nn for Veronica
I like them both individually and I think Vera can work as a nickname.
Sassy Veronica and classy Vera make beautiful music together.
Lovely! Veronica’s fun because it’s loud and even brash but also saintly.
Ooh, I love that. I enjoy both names a lot, so that works out well!
