Ezra Ladislao Mejía (32)
Ezra was born in Spanish Harlem to a blue-collar Dominican family, the son of a school janitor mother and a police officer father. He grew up as the youngest of five kids, and managed to work his way through public school without falling into the cycles of destructive behaviour tnat plagued his friends. A few years ago, he moved to Bushwick to open La Amante, a community-ran afro-latino bar.

Keiyana "Keys" LouEllen Domingo (31; she/they) dated Ezra for about a year in high school before she came out as a lesbian. Because they ended things on good terms, Keys and Ezra remain good friends, even playing wingman for each other on occasion. Passionate about bettering the world for the next generations, Keys works as a school counselor at their old high school and spends their free time volunteering at youth shelters, where they teach free art and photography classes.

Lilya Marfa "Lily" Romanova Sokolova (29; She/her) Lily is a student from Moscow who went to study abroad and met Keys at the university, She quickly befriended Keys and eventually started developing feelings for them. She dated them for 2 years until they broke up and cut off contact. After Lily graduated from university she opened her vintage-style designer shop, where she designed her dresses.

This is Lily's 24-year-old brother, Boris Konstantin Romanov Sokolov, who was a member of the Russian Army for 5 years (his parents played a role in that). After serving, he went home to his parents to focus on his studies, secretly dating a former (male), fellow soldier. Boris' ex-boyfriend (who was bisexual) left him after catching feelings for a woman, then outed him to his family (as a homosexual). Long story short, his parents rejected him and kicked him out, so his sister opened her doors to Boris. While growing up, they were both very close with each other; Lily couldn't leave Boris out in the cold, allowing him to live with her. Expressing gratitude, Boris helps run Lily's designer shop, but he's especially interested in welding. He studies at university, taking welding courses. Personality-wise, Boris is very shy, kind-hearted, stubborn, and driven. Another thing to add is that he really enjoys playing "football" (not the American version), always taking time to play on the university's team.
