The slang trivia makes it much more interesting! I love that. Where I'm from, Jack isn't a natural nickname for John, so if you want Jack, use Jack. JackThomas is pretty nice, it has energy. JohnThomas is nothing special to me, although I do like the repetitive "Jon-Tom" sounds.
