I love that show too. Georgia is one of the best written characters I've ever seen.
:D best show ever
I know a 15-year-old named Georgia Katherine which is a lovely name. She isn't called George or Georgie. Gigi could be a nickname because of the two gs. I like names that have a more unique ending sound (Jordan vs Georgia) It's kind of classic as it's never been out of the top 1000 names and it's on the rise.
I love this name, especially because of Ray Charles song Georgia On My Mind. Plus the show Dead Like Me where the main character wad Georgia nn George.
I brought the name up to my husband but he nixed it. I don't think it would have worked for us

It's pretty, for some reason I like it far more than George.
One of my favorite names for years, back from when I was 13! Unlike you, I *love* that it can be shortened to George, and unlike Anneza I loved that it was a kind of place name (Billie Holliday's song "Georgia on my Mind" is what introduced the name to me).
Georgia is so jazzy and vivacious to me. It's extremely rare in my area, so even when it became popular I never got tired of it.
When I was a teenager I wanted a sibset of Ruby & Georgia, which feels very 2010s to me now! Sounds like one of those companies founded circa 2005 by a mommy blogger. They are still cute together though.

One of my friends from my MFA program is named Georgia (with sisters named Hannah and Adriane and a half-sister named Muriel)! She's a beautiful former soccer player who writes creative nonfiction, so the name has very positive associations for me. I prefer Giorgia, though.

Doubly geographical - USA and Europe - and I don't enjoy geographical names. As a fem form of George, I much prefer Georgina, which can shorten to Gina or even Jean. Georgia people always seem to be known as George, which I don't even like as a male name.
I don't really like it
