Gabriel - It sounds nice and classy, but it wouldn't be my first pick.Tobias (Toby) - I like this name and find it underused.Julian - I love the sound of this name; it's very handsome!Oliver (Ollie) - I get the appeal for this name, as it's very historical and handsome-sounding. However, it's a little too commonplace, even for me.Sebastian - This is a very wonderful, charming name that I think is a great choice.Ambrose - I love how unique this name is where I am; gives "mysterious-boy-next-door" impressions, which I enjoy.Edwin (Ned) - I think that this is a nice name and nickname, but I prefer Edward.Frederick (Freddie) - I would prefer Frederick in full form, without a nickname. However, I think that Freddie is adorable and stately as a nickname. Alexander (Xander) - Alexander is nicer without a nickname; I actually prefer Xander as a full name.Theodore (Theo) - This name is very nice and I enjoy the nickname Theo.Celeste - I think that the name Celeste is absolutely stunning.Evangeline (Evie) - I don't care for Evie at all, but Evangeline does have a pretty sound.Genevieve - I really love this name and feel that it's underappreciated.Marguerite (Margot) - I like Marguerite, but I prefer Megan, Margaret, and Margot.

Boys
Gabriel: I like the name
Tobias (Toby): Good for a puppy
Julian: I see a little boy who is not very smart
Oliver (Ollie): Also good for a puppy
Sebastian: Don't like the sound
Ambrose: I like the name and style but not a favorite
Edwin (Ned): Too traditional
Frederick (Freddie): Also too traditional
Alexander (Xander): Also too old-fashioned
Theodore (Theo): I guess okay but a bit grandpa-like
Girls
Celeste: Hate the sounds but has a pretty meaning
Evangeline (Evie): Pretty if "ine" ending vs "een"
Genevieve: Love this name but "vieve" spelling is confusing
Marguerite (Margot): I dislike Marguerite (i don't like g'ree sound) but love Margot
Charlotte (Lottie): Charlotte is pretty but really popular
Josephine (Posie): Old fashioned but Posie is too cutesy
Madeleine: Like the cookies?
Rosemary (Romy): Grandma-name but I like Romy
Millicent (Millie): Great-Grandma name. Seems too monotone
Winifred (Edie): Hocus Pocus!
Boys
Gabriel - OK for others: too religious for me, and Gabe is unattractive.
Tobias (Toby) - pleasant, though in my family it's a cat name
Julian - the only male Jul- name I like.
Oliver (Ollie) - still lovely, but too popular.
Sebastian - I believe it's seen as distinguished in most places; where I live, sadly, it isn't at all.
Ambrose - dreadful. To be avoided. Sounds like a brand of flavoured tea.
Edwin (Ned) - Edwin is good; Ned certainly isn't.
Frederick (Freddie) - Frederick is OK, but I far prefer Fred (family full name!) to Freddie.
Alexander (Xander) - starting to fade; Xander should be more interesting than Alex(is), but it's never worked for me. Infantile.
Theodore (Theo) - yes, why not? Not interesting, but harmless.Girls
Celeste - I've only known one: she hated her name ("So sentimental!") and went by Sally.
Evangeline (Evie) - I'd prefer just Eve, or even Eva. Evangeline is long and complicated, and I knew one who went by Vangie!
Genevieve - never gets the French pronunciation, unfortunately. I much prefer Jennifer.
Marguerite (Margot) - neither: Margaret is definitely preferable.
Charlotte (Lottie) - Lottie is awful, a fat kid in vintage comics, and I've always disliked Charlotte. Rather use Charlene.
Josephine (Posie) - Posie? Yuck! It makes me almost fond of Jo and Jodie.
Madeleine - yes, but only with this spelling. There are too many variants out there.
Rosemary (Romy) - excellent name, ghastly nn.
Millicent (Millie) - I think I prefer Mildred, but it's close. Not really keen on either.
Winifred (Edie) - Edie? Really? I'd be surprised by anything other than Winnie, which I don't like much; fine as a mn, though.
I am neutral to Oliver but love Ollie.
Edwin is fine but I don't like Ned.
I am neutral to Frederick and don't like Freddie.
I like Alxander enough and love Xander as a standalone but its honestly so close to original name that it feels weird to use it as a NN.
I prefer Madeline over Madeleine.
I like Charlotte but not Lottie.
I like Josephine but not Posie.
Rosemary is not my style, but Romy is cute. Rosie would be too.
I dislike Millicent but love Millie.
I don't like Winifred or Edie. Or any of its NNs for that matter.
I don't like Marguerite or Margot. Again, it feels so close to the original name that I would prefer if only one of them was used.
The other names fit personal taste pretty well.
Gabriel -soft and handsome
Tobias (Toby) -i like it in theory, but a weird tv show character comes to mind
Julian -love it
Oliver (Ollie) -i guess i'm fine with it, but i've never been fond of the 'ol' sound and idk why
Sebastian -like it
Ambrose -sounds sort of fancy for a boys name, but i like it
Edwin (Ned) -okay with Edwin, not big on Ned
Frederick (Freddie) -I've personally never loved it, but my mother does, I think it's her favourite boy's name
Alexander (Xander) -I like Alexander, but only as a whole name, I don't really care for any nicknames
Theodore (Theo) -sort of teddy bear-ish, but I think it's cute
Celeste -don't understand the appeal, I think it sounds sort of harsh and dry, though I prefer the Italian pronunciation
Evangeline (Evie) -Quite like it, though don't have strong feelings for Evie
Genevieve -It's okay, but I don't really like the 'jenneh' sound at the start of names
Marguerite (Margot) -Marguerite is so precious, and I like Margot, but don't see it as a nickname for Marguerite.
Charlotte (Lottie) -Love Charlotte, and love Lottie as a nickname!
