[Opinions] Re: Fairy Woodland
in reply to a message by Amoret
For fairy woodland creatures, I would choose unusual nature names, Greek or Roman mythological names, Shakespearean names or a word name that may describe their appearance or a certain personality characteristic. Whimsical names would work as well.
Examples:
The animal playing the cello in the middle of the picture could be called Marcello (Italian for Shakespeare's Marcellus).
A mouse = Pip (male) or Pippa (f) short for Pipsqueak. Another option is Piccolo which means "small" in Italian. A serious name like Basil. Cornelius/Cornelia or Euphemia (Effie).
A frog = Thaddeus (nickname Tad for Tadpole), Fritz, Viridis (means "green") or Yoda.
A fairy could be Oberon/Auberon or Florizel (male). For a female fairy, Tryamon was a fairy princess in Arthurian legend and Siofra means "elf" in Irish. Anwen, Celeste, Taika (Finnish for "magic"), Undine, Melusine, Freya, Idunna, Xanthia and Galilea are other options.
A butterfly = Mariposa, Amaryllis, Pollyanna, Marigold
A bee = Bumble, Bede, Lugh
A smart creature = Brilliant, Sage or Voltaire.
A large creature = Goliath
A bossy character = Caesar
