I still like Jocelyn. I taught a pleasant girl once - diligent, polite, good at sport - named Jocelyn and that helped. Then a year or so later I found her working behind the counter at a branch of my bank that I usually didn't go to. We were happy to see each other, exchanged news - and then I noticed that round her neck she wore a gold chain with her name in gold letters at the bottom. Except, the name down there next to her collar was not Jocelyn but Jossie. What a disappointment!
