I'd say Rob, but I also like Robbie.
Or, as a suggestion, Roby, if that's not too much of a feminine nn for a male Robin.

The parents of actor siblings John and Joan Cusack?
I guess they didn't know they named their kids the very same name.
Then again, how did they not even know, or was told, this fact?
